Red: A Crayon's Story
Main message: Be true to yourself, inside and out.
Try as he might, the red crayon really isn't good at being red: the strawberries he draws are blue, so are the cherries and hearts. Though parents and friends try and help him to be red, it's only when a friend asks him to draw an ocean that he realises he's really a blue crayon and starts to be his true self.
This is a hardback book that measures 22 x 30 cm. It's ideal for 4-8 year olds.
For a classic tale about being yourself, we also have the story of Ferdinand the Bull.
